February 2027 and organised by the Croatian Association of LSP [Language
for Special Purposes] Teachers. Working languages: Croatian, English,

Call for Papers: 8th International Conference “Contemporary Challenges
in LSP Teaching”
The Association of LSP Teachers at Higher Education Institutions in
Croatia (UNJSVU), in partnership with the University of Dubrovnik,
invites researchers and practitioners to submit abstracts for its 8th
International Conference, Contemporary Challenges in LSP Teaching,
taking place 11–13 February 2027 at the Faculty of Economics and
Business, University of Dubrovnik.
The conference welcomes papers, workshops, and posters on topics
including genre and discourse analysis, terminology, LSP methodology and
syllabus design, assessment, English as a lingua franca, teacher
professional development, and the use of artificial intelligence in
language teaching and research. Submissions are accepted in Croatian,
English, German, Italian, and French.
This year’s keynote speakers include Snježana Kereković (University
of Zagreb), Joanna Kic-Drgas (Adam Mickiewicz University, Poznań),
Aleksandra Łuczak (Kozminski University, Warsaw), and Ursula Wingate
(King’s College London).
Key dates:
Abstract submission: 7 July – 1 October 2026
Notification of acceptance: 1 November 2026
Early registration: 1–30 November 2026
