AILA Europe: Webinar series on speech research (AFinLA)
Dear Colleagues,
On behalf of Katalin Fogarasi, Secretary for Foreign Affairs, I am forwarding the AILA circular to you:
Dear AILA Europe network members,
Please disseminate the invitation from the Finnish Association of Applied Linguistics (AFinLA) in your association:
We would like to bring to your attention the Nordic Speech Research Forum https://www.jyu.fi/nsrf, which is a webinar series on the broad area of speech research. The webinars consist of invited talks and discussion in a relaxed atmosphere. Most of the speakers have a link to the Nordics, but the webinar series offers special guest talks by distinguished scholars also from other contexts. The webinars feature scholars at different career stages from PhD researchers to professors. The Nordic Speech Research Forum is organized by the Speech and Speech Research Special Interest Group of the Finnish Association for Applied Linguistics (AFinLA) and the Nordic Network for L2 Pronunciation (NNL2P).
The next webinar takes place on Thu, March 26th at 14:30 – 15:30 (Helsinki/Eastern European Time EET; UCT+2). You are warmly welcome to join the webinar via our website https://www.jyu.fi/nsrf.
The invited speaker is PhD researcher Federica Rashellà (Linnaeus University) together with Senior Lecturer Frida Splendido (Lund University) and Associate Professor Gilbert Ambrazaitis (Linnaeus University). The title of their talk is “Swedish embodied pronunciation training: Results from a lab study on the second language acquisition of quantity”.
Kind regards,
Anta Kursiša
