Dear Colleagues,

We are pleased to announce the publication of the book Recontextualizing Expert KnowledgeThe Process, Practices and Aims of Digital Dissemination, edited by Rosa Lorés and Pilar Mur-Dueñas, and published by Routledge.

This volume, comprising 9 full chapters, an introductory chapter, and an epilogue, examines how digital media impacts the process of recontextualization, understood as the way by which expert knowledge is made more accessible to multiple audiences through varied discursive, pragmatic, and multimodal strategies. Adopting varied theoretical and methodological approaches, the chapters examine the multifaceted processes of recontextualization, where academic information is adapted for broader public audiences, often navigating the tension between scholarly rigor and public understanding.

We are really thankful to all the authors, who agreed to embark on this exciting journey: Angelicia Anthony Thane, Jordan Batchelor, Marina Beccard, Ruth Breeze, Eniko Csomay, Isabel Herrando, Suganthi John, Maria Kuteeva, Julien Longhi, Katalin Miklossy, Jean Parkinson, Josef Schmied, Lena Stüdeli, Francisca Suau, Crispin Thurlow, Wei Wang and Francisco Yus.

This volume has been endorsed by Professor Marina Bondi (Università di Modena e Reggio Emilia, Italy), Professor Fei Victor Lim (National Institute of Education, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore) and Professor Niall Curry, (Manchester Metropolitan University, UK).

This is an outlet of InterGEDI research group current project, and you can find more information here.
